Job summary

EA RECRUITMENT PTE LTD is seeking a PhD-level chemist/chemical engineer to develop and optimize treatment and handling processes for waste streams. You will design resource recovery methods, work with Sales and Operations on opportunities, and drive pilot trials with external partners.

The role involves building laboratory capabilities, ensuring safety compliance, and contributing to new business development while staying abreast of industry trends and innovations.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in specialty chemical manufacturing, oil & gas, or water treatment.
• Strong analytical abilities and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and optimize treatment and handling processes for waste streams.
• Design and implement resource recovery processes to enhance sustainability and value.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to identify opportunities and support pilot trials.
• Identify and implement new technologies in collaboration with universities, research institutes, and technology providers.
• Establish and improve laboratory capabilities, including process development and analytical methods for R&D.
• Drive continuous improvement of operations through process optimization and alternative treatments.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements and maintain laboratory housekeeping.
• Support evaluation and development of handling procedures for high-risk waste streams.
• Contribute to new business development and facility planning.
• Stay updated on industry trends and introduce relevant innovations.
