Job summary

Well Established Company in Tuas, Singapore, is seeking a highly qualified professional to lead treatment and waste management initiatives. The role focuses on developing and optimizing processes for diverse waste streams, driving resource recovery, and collaborating with Sales, Marketing and Operations to commercialize solutions and run pilot trials.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years in specialty chemical manufacturing, oil & gas, or water

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years in specialty chemical manufacturing, oil & gas or water treatment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and optimize treatment and handling processes for waste streams, ensuring feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Design and implement resource recovery processes from waste streams to enhance sustainability and value creation.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Operations to identify waste sources, support commercialization and pilot trials.
• Identify and implement new technologies with external partners (universities, research institutes, technology providers).
• Establish and continuously improve laboratory capabilities including process development and analytical methods for R&D.
• Drive continuous improvement of operations through process optimization and alternative treatment methods.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, documentation standards and safety/health/environmental requirements; maintain lab housekeeping.
• Support evaluation and development of handling procedures for high-risk and high-value waste streams.
• Contribute to new business development and facility planning; stay updated on industry trends and innovations.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
