Job summary

DADACONSULTANTS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Water Treatment Process Engineer to design and develop processes for drinking water, wastewater, desalination, and water reclamation projects. The role includes producing PFDs and P&IDs and coordinating with multiple teams to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in process design for water treatment and will support on-site work and travel as needed, adhering to local regulations and project standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Water/Wastewater Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in process design or project execution within the water treatment industry.
• Experience with drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, seawater desalination, or water reclamation/reuse projects; experience in Singapore or Southeast Asia is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop processes for water treatment projects and prepare PFDs and P&IDs.
• Select equipment specifications for pumps, blowers, tanks, membrane systems, and dosing systems.
• Provide technical support during construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up.
• Prepare commissioning plans, SOPs, operation and maintenance manuals, and training materials.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, construction, automation/control, and other teams.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore PUB requirements and local environmental regulations.

Job description

Water Treatment Process Engineer

Job Responsibility

1. Responsible for process design and development for water treatment projects, including drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, water reclamation/reuse, and seawater desalination. Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
2. Select and determine specifications for process equipment, including pumps, blowers, tanks, membrane systems, chemical dosing systems, and other related equipment, ensuring that system performance meets the required design standards.
3. Provide technical support during project execution and resolve process-related technical issues arising during construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up.
4. Prepare commissioning plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operation and maintenance manuals, and training materials.
5. Work closely with design, procurement, construction, automation/control, and other project teams to ensure effective coordination and integration between process design and other engineering disciplines.
6. Ensure that all process designs comply with relevant Singapore PUB requirements and local environmental regulations.
7. Participate in regular project meetings and undertake other duties or assignments as required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in process design or project execution within the water treatment industry. • Willing and able to support project site work and travel requirements during different stages of project execution.
