Job summary

SIN CHEW WOODPAQ PTE LTD is seeking a security officer to guard premises, manage mail, and control visitor access across day and night shifts. You will register visitors, direct parking, and perform patrols while ensuring safety compliance and reporting incidents.

Role requires physical fitness, basic email use, and willingness to work 4 days weekly on 12-hour shifts; night shift allowance is provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate basic email systems for communication and admin tasks.
• Physically fit to monitor premises and perform facilities duties.
• Willingness to work at least 4 days per week, day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Guard and monitor the Company premises during assigned shifts.
• Handle all incoming mails and control entry/exit of visitors, contractors, suppliers, and employees.
• Register visitors at the guardhouse and issue passes where required; escort visitors as needed.
• Direct visitors to parking areas and manage vehicle access; conduct regular patrols.
• Monitor CCTV and security equipment; respond to emergencies and report incidents promptly.
• Ensure premises are secured, lights and equipment off after closing, and maintain security records.

Job Summary

You will manage mail handling, visitor registration with contact declaration checks, office security, and facilities maintenance while ensuring safety compliance and supporting administrative tasks. No security certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Guard and monitor the Company premises during assigned shifts.
• Handle all incoming mails.
• Control the entry and exit of visitors, contractors, suppliers, and employees.
• Register all visitors at the guardhouse and issue visitor passes where required.
• Ensure visitors remain at the guardhouse until received and escorted by their host.
• Direct visitors to designated parking areas and manage vehicle access.
• Conduct regular patrols and report any suspicious activities or safety hazards.
• Monitor gates, CCTV (where applicable), and security equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and report incidents promptly.
• Ensure the office and warehouse are vacated after the last employee leaves, and switch off all unnecessary lights and electrical equipment before securing the premises. (Nightshift)
• Maintain security records and perform other duties assigned by Management.

Required competencies and certifications

• Ability to operate basic email systems to support communication and administrative tasks
• Physical fitness to perform duties including monitoring premises and handling facilities tasks
• Able to work at least 4 days per week, from 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am (2 X 1 hour break per day)
