A leading environmental solutions provider in Singapore seeks a professional to oversee the operation and maintenance of its wastewater treatment plant and advanced water treatment facility. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, supervising a team, providing technical support for environmental incidents, and developing policies and SOPs. Candidates should possess strong decision-making skills and experience in environmental control facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the wastewater treatment plant and other environmental control facilities.
• Supervise a team of technicians in daily activities, collection of waste, unloading of solvents and wastes, and operation of the wastewater treatment plant.
• Provide technical support on Environmental incidents and account for ENV issues that arise through the operations.
• Serve as the Data Integrity lead for the IFM team and conduct DI Gemba weekly.
• Represent the Utilities and WWTP areas for both internal and external audit inspections.
• Manage selected projects and processes run in the IPT, including planning for annual plant shutdowns.
• Investigate incident reports, respond to relevant HazOp studies, and complete and follow up on specific risk assessments.
• Analyze and troubleshoot, drawing accurate conclusions from analysis to support decision‑making and make timely decisions for the operations.
• Develop environmental policy, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.

Job description

This position is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant, advanced water treatment facility, and disposal facilities (loading / unloading) to ensure the efficient, safe, and economical treatment of wastewater, disposal of sludge and discharge of treated water.
