Job summary

Singapore Food Services Pte Ltd is seeking a Washer/Stewarding Crew to maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas during catering operations and events.

You will support kitchen and service staff, follow NEA food hygiene regulations, wear PPE, and assist in waste disposal and equipment maintenance to ensure readiness for every event.

Qualifications

• Must maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment and work areas.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and dry all utensils, cookware, cutlery, and catering equipment.
• Clean kitchen floors, walls, workstations, sinks, shelves, and storage areas; manage waste and recycling.
• Maintain cleanliness of staff pantry, toilets, changing rooms, and common areas as assigned.
• Clean and prepare catering equipment and buffet setups; report damaged items.

We are seeking a motivated and positive Washer /Stewarding Crew. The Washer / Stewarding Crew is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. This role supports kitchen and service staff by ensuring all tools and facilities meet food safety and sanitation standards during catering operations and events. chen, storage, and operational areas to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Dishwashing

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and dry all kitchen utensils, cookware, cutlery, crockery, glassware, gastronorm trays, and catering equipment.

• Inspect cleaned items to ensure they meet cleanliness standards.

• Organize and store cleaned equipment in designated locations.

Cleaning & Housekeeping

• Clean kitchen floors, walls, workstations, sinks, shelves, refrigerators, and storage areas.

• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste according to company procedures.

• Separate general waste, recyclable materials, and food waste where applicable.

• Clean staff pantry, toilets, changing rooms, and common areas when assigned.

• Replenish cleaning supplies and report low inventory.

Catering Equipment Maintenance

• Clean buffet setup equipment, chafing dishes, food warmers, beverage dispensers, serving trays, transport boxes, and delivery containers.

• Ensure all catering equipment is ready for the next event.

• Report damaged or missing equipment to the supervisor.

Food Safety & Hygiene

• Follow NEA food hygiene regulations and company SOPs.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

• Use cleaning chemicals safely according to instructions.

• Wear appropriate PPE (gloves, apron, safety shoes, etc.).

• Assist in pest prevention by maintaining a clean environment.
