Job summary

Legrand in Singapore is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to manage inventory, put away materials, and distribute to production cells. You will transact items in the warehouse system, locate parts by number and maintain orderly stock in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires physical lifting, standing for long periods, and adherence to safety rules. Forklift certification is preferred, with cross-training opportunities across plant departments available.

Qualifications

• GCE O level, SPM or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs often.
• Regularly stand, walk, and climb ladders for prolonged periods.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Experience in a stockroom/warehouse setting is preferred.

• Assist with warehouse maintenance including making spaces for incoming freight with material handling equipment.

• Adhere to all company policies, guidelines and practices.
• Cross train to work in other plant departments.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant to join the Power & Thermal Management division in Singapore. This position is responsible for inventory management, put away and distribution to the production cells for assembly.

What Will You Do?

• Locate and transact items in the Warehouse using Current Business System correctly.
• Locate parts by part number while moving throughout the warehouse.
• Maintain warehouse by keeping aisles clear of debris and putting material away.
• Assist with warehouse maintenance including making spaces for incoming freight with material handling equipment.
• Maintains inventory accuracy by cycle counting, adjusting quantities when necessary and doing root cause analysis.
• Adhere to all company policies, guidelines and practices
• Cross training to work in other functional department of the plant
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education: GCE O level, SPM or equivalent

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs occasionally; ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs often.
• Stockroom setting with material handling equipment in use and limited exposure to environmental conditions.
• Regularly standing, walking, climbing ladders for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds for extended period of time.
• Work with personal safety equipment such as safety harness, safety glasses, and hearing protection when necessary.
• This position requires standing and bending over for 95% of the shift.
• Similar warehouse experience preferred
• Valid Forklift certification preferred
