Advanced Micro Devices (S) Pte Ltd invites you to join the 2027 Term 1 Internship – Wafer Sort & Final Test Hardware Development Engineer in Singapore. You’ll work full time during the co-op term, either hybrid or onsite, gaining hands-on experience in ATE hardware development and BOM-related activities.

Open to undergraduates or PhD students in Singapore, the program emphasizes learning, project management, design reviews, and collaboration with experienced engineers on real-world semiconductor

• Experience with CAD software is a plus.

JOB TITLE:

2027 Term 1 Internship – Wafer Sort & Final Test Hardware Development Engineer

LOCATION:

Singapore

ONSITE/HYBRID REQUIREMENT:

This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.

CRITERIA:

Current students studying in universities based in Singapore and able to provide a placement/support letter from their school covering the entire internship period.

INTERNSHIP DURATION:

Term 1 Internship Start Date: 4 Jan 2027, End Date: 28 May 2027 or 6 Aug 2027.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN:

• Gain industry experience working on development projects.
• Systematic project management skillsets.
• Familiar most popular handler platforms and change kit design for ATE FT testing.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

To be involved in developing wafer sort/final test thermal mechanical hardware

• Dynamic BOM generation for ATE hardware development project
• ATE hardware mechanical CIP projects

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Acquire basic knowledge for ATE testing hardware.
• Understand hardware difference across handler platforms and come out generic standard for OSAT.
• Support mechanical design modifications based on engineering change requests.
• Participate in design reviews and engineering discussions.
• Help verify design compliance with company standards and manufacturing requirements.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

• Applicant should have basic mechanical engineering background and be able to develop data analysisin the field

RELEVANT SKILLSETS:

• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with at least one CAD software package (e.g., SolidWorks).
• Basic programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Study background in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering/Data Science (with engineering interest)
