Job summary

AMD in Singapore seeks a proactive professional to manage multi-functional activities in the product characterization domain, from pre-silicon planning to high-volume manufacturing. You will liaise with internal/external teams and vendors, drive cross-functional deliverables, and guide junior engineers through ATE testing and data analysis.

Ideal candidates have a background in product engineering or program management, strong communication across distributed teams, and knowledge of automation

Qualifications

• BS in EE, CS, ECE or related field; MS preferred.
• Experience in product engineering or program management.
• Strong automation flow knowledge and statistical analysis.
• ATE test program knowledge (Advantest/Verigy a plus).
• Scripting languages: Python, Tcl, or Perl.
• PMI/SCRUM/AGILE/ISO 9000 certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive assignments with objectives and goals; follow the plan to meet them.
• Communicate status to management or executives.
• Guide junior engineers in ATE testing and data analysis.
• Define and manage key deliverables and cross-functional schedules.
• Manage budgets, contracts, POs, and invoices with the team lead.
• Drive pre-silicon planning including hardware/software orders.
• Prepare for high-volume manufacturing after silicon arrival.
• Coordinate with IPs and system integration teams on requirements and use cases.
• Create automation flows and scripts to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues.

THE ROLE:

You will be highly motivated to manage and control activities in multi-functional areas of the product characterization team, from pre-silicon planning through high volume manufacturing by liaison with internal and external teams and vendors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet those goals.

• Communicate status to management or executive staff
• Manage and guide the junior engineers to handle ATE testing and data analysis.
• Define and manage key product deliverables/schedules and driving cross functional activities

• Partner with team manager to manage budgets, contracts, purchase orders, and invoices

• Drive pre-silicon planning, including hardware and software ordering/purchasing
• Drive high-volume manufacturing readiness, once silicon arrives
• Work with IPs team and system integration teams to understand system requirements and specific use case

• Generates automation flow and scripts where applicable for efficiency improvements

• Work with cross functional team to Investigate and find solutions to various issues

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Background in Product Engineering or Program Management
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with geographically distributed product engineering teams

• Solid understanding of automation flow and statistical analysis
• Basic understanding of ATE testing and NPI Process, bench testing and debug.
• ATE test program knowledge, preferably Advantest and Verigy is a plus
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Tcl or Perl

• Courses or certifications in project management (PMI, SCRUM, AGILE, ISO 9000) is a plus

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BS in EE, CS, ECE or related field; MS preferred, with experience
