Job summary

SMBC, a leading global financial institution, seeks a VP, Project Manager for Strategic Transformation to lead cross‑functional initiatives in APAC. You will partner with senior leaders to translate priorities into executable roadmaps and drive digitalization across multiple functions.

The role requires 7–10 years in financial services with strong governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement capabilities, and a track record of delivering large programmes in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, Technology, Engineering (MBA advantageous).
• Approximately 7–10 years of experience in financial services with exposure to corporate banking, transformation, change management and project delivery.
• Proven track record leading large-scale strategic transformation, digitalization, operating model or process reengineering programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of strategic transformation initiatives aligned with regional and global objectives.
• Partner with senior leaders to translate priorities into executable programmes and roadmaps.
• Develop business cases, operating models and delivery plans for transformational change.
• Drive front-to-back process improvements, digitalization and operating model enhancements across functions.
• Identify opportunities to improve effectiveness, productivity, client experience and resilience.
