Job summary

DBS is seeking a VP, Senior Data Scientist in Singapore to lead ML initiatives within Group Legal and Compliance Analytics. You will design and deploy analytics models for Financial Crime, Sanctions, and Compliance, partnering with domain experts to drive regional projects.

You will mentor junior staff, ensure governance and post-deployment monitoring, and communicate complex results to senior stakeholders in a clear, actionable way.

Qualifications

• Degree with a strong focus in machine learning, data mining, or statistical modeling.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience, with the last 5+ years hands-on in data analytics or AI/ML.
• Familiar with analytics platforms and integration with upstream/downstream data and production systems.
• Experience in end-to-end data science projects from problem framing to deployment and monitoring.
• Ability to build ML pipelines with versioning, branching, testing, and modular code.
• Excellent communication to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute ML products regionally for Group LCS in selected verticals.
• Conceptualise, plan, develop, and deliver analytics models for Financial Crime and Compliance.
• Collaborate with domain experts and data scientists to drive projects.
• Translate analysis into actionable insights for strategic decisions.
• Ensure governance, reusable assets, and post-deployment monitoring; mentor juniors.
