Job summary

DBS is seeking an AVP Data Scientist for Global Financial Markets in Singapore. The role focuses on developing AI, data analytics, and automation solutions to support trading desks, improve idea generation, accelerate execution, and enhance monitoring and reporting.

You will train models, build analytics assets, and collaborate with traders and sales to address day-to-day pain points. Leadership of junior members and staying current with data science advances are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in analytics or a related field
• 2-5 years in data/analytics roles, fintech preferred
• Experience with AI models and ML workflows
• Ability to handle data extraction, processing and analysis
• Proficient in Python or related packages; strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Model development: train and implement predictive models for trading, sales and COO initiatives.
• Data initiatives: perform exploratory analyses and build analytics assets and dashboards.
• Stay updated on data science advances and foster data-driven culture within the team.
