Job summary

SUMITOMO MITSUI BANKING CORPORATION Singapore Branch is seeking a VP/AVP, People Data Analyst to drive data-driven decisions for HR across Asia Pacific. You will analyze workforce data, develop dashboards, and deliver actionable insights to leaders on talent strategy, retention, and experience initiatives.

The role requires strong experience in people analytics, Power BI, Python, and project management, with the ability to translate complex workforce data into concise business recommendations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in business analysis, people analytics, workforce analytics, HR reporting, or business intelligence.
• Strong experience with Power BI for dashboard development and reporting.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze workforce and HR data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to hiring, retention, engagement, performance, and workforce planning.
• Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to HR leaders and business stakeholders.
• Support recurring and ad hoc analysis across key people metrics, including headcount, turnover, internal mobility, span of control, and diversity metrics.
• Conduct root cause analysis to explain workforce trends and business impacts.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports.
• Develop standardized reporting for HR leadership and business partners.
• Create data visualizations and executive-ready summaries that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
