Job summary

OKX’s Trading Services Engineering team powers core trading infrastructure, delivering high-availability, low-latency services that support millions of users worldwide. You will design, build, and own distributed systems powering core trading flows and contribute to Kafka-based patterns in a scalable, cloud-based environment.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Marketing to drive innovation, implement robust services, and uphold technical best practices through reviews and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Science/Engineering or Math.
• Hands-on experience adopting AI tools in engineering workflows.
• Hands-on Microservice/API development using Java/SpringBoot/SpringCloud.
• Strong knowledge of multi-threading and distributed architectures; Kafka experience.
• Relational database design and development.
• Comfortable in a cloud-based Linux environment.
• Experience with automated testing and CI.
• Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs/SDKs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-availability, low-latency distributed services powering core trading flows.
• Own service reliability end-to-end: architecture, performance tuning, monitoring, and incident response.
• Partner with Product and cross-functional teams to translate trading requirements into scalable system design.
• Drive technical best practices through code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship of peers.
• Contribute to Kafka-based messaging architecture and event-driven system design at scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and execution.
• Design and implement high availability, high-performance distributed services.
• Contribute to technology best practices and perform code reviews for peers.
