Job summary

United Overseas Bank Ltd (UOB) is seeking a VP of Reference Data Management to lead the CoE, overseeing governance, integrity, and maintenance of reference data across Global Markets, Custody, and Treasury platforms. The role drives data quality, controls, and scalable operations, partnering with risk, compliance, and technology teams.

The incumbent will lead a high-performing team, manage data across client, counterparty, and instrument master data, and steer initiatives to improve efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Economics, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of banking and financial services experience with exposure to Reference Data, Global Markets Operations, Custody Operations, Treasury Operations or Securities Services.
• Proven leadership experience managing operational teams and service delivery functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Reference Data Management team with accountable governance, data quality and service delivery.
• Oversee maintenance of client, counterparty, legal entity, and instrument data across platforms.
• Drive data governance, controls, and remediation of data quality issues.
• Partner with stakeholders to support business objectives and lead transformation, automation, and process optimization initiatives.
• Represent the function in governance forums, audits, and strategic programs.
