Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise performance reporting across clients, products, segments, RM, channels and portfolios for IWPB Singapore leadership.

  • Analyze revenue, profitability, AUM, acquisition, client activity, product penetration, and RM performance to identify gaps.
  • Conduct diagnostics and translate findings into actionable recommendations for commercial improvement.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards and KPI frameworks for decision making.
  • Deliver analytics on client, product and profitability to identify growth and wallet-share opportunities; evaluate margin leakage.
  • Support cost management through expense analytics, variance analysis and benefits tracking.
  • Lead annual planning, forecasting and governance cadence with cross-functional stakeholders.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as aVP, Performance Management.

The Vice President, Performance Management Manager is a key member of the Business Execution & Performance Management team, supporting the Head of Business Performance Management in driving sustainable growth, profitability and disciplined execution across HSBC Singapore’s International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) business.

The role is responsible for supporting business performance management through robust analytics, management information, commercial insights, business planning and governance. The incumbent will drive performance analytics across clients, products, channels, sales portfolios and cost lines to identify growth opportunities, emerging risks, profitability drivers and productivity improvements that enable informed decision-making by senior management.

The role also supports the coordination of the Annual Planning process for IWPB Singapore, partnering with Business, Finance, Product, Distribution, Strategy and other functional stakeholders to develop business plans, financial targets, performance assumptions, and execution priorities. In addition, the role oversees business governance by coordinating leadership forums, preparing executive review materials, and ensuring disciplined follow-up of strategic priorities and management actions.

The successful candidate combines strong commercial and financial acumen with analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and exceptional stakeholder management to influence business decisions and improve overall business performance.

In this role you will need:
  • Lead enterprise performance reportingacross clients, products, customer segments, relationship managers, distribution channels and sales portfolios, ensuring consistent, high-quality management information for IWPB Singapore leadership.
  • Monitor performance against strategic, financial and operational objectives, identifying trends, opportunities, risks and underlying drivers, and providing forward-looking insights to support timely interventions.
  • Analyse core business and productivity metricsincluding revenue, profitability, AUM/balances, acquisition, client activity, product penetration, sales productivity and RM performance to highlight performance gaps and improvement levers.
  • Conduct deep-dive diagnostics and root-cause analysison under/over-performance, translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations to improve commercial outcomes and execution effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards and KPI frameworksthat enable effective decision-making, clear accountability and transparent tracking of business priorities.
  • Deliver client, product and profitability analyticsto identify revenue growth, cross-sell, retention and wallet-share opportunities; evaluate client economics, product profitability and business mix; and highlight margin leakage or underperformance by segment/channel.
  • Support cost management and efficiency deliverythrough detailed expense analytics, identification of savings opportunities, challenge of cost assumptions with Finance and stakeholders, budget/forecast variance analysis, and tracking of realised benefits.
  • Lead annual planning, forecasting, target setting and governance cadence, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, building scenarios and business cases, preparing leadership materials, tracking agreed actions, and driving continuous improvement in automation, data quality and self-service analytics.
To be successful you will need:
  • Commercial & financial acumen: Strong understanding of revenue, cost and profitability drivers, with sound commercial judgement.
  • Financial planning expertise: Proven capability across planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and cost optimisation.
  • Advanced analytics & modelling: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, including advanced financial modelling to generate actionable insights.
  • Data & tooling proficiency: Advanced capability in Excel plus BI/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI/Tableau) and data/query tools (e.g., SQL/Alteryx or equivalents).
  • Executive communication & influencing: Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, and data storytelling, with strong stakeholder management across a matrix organisation.
  • Delivery leadership & governance: Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution; highly organised with strong project coordination, governance, and a commitment to controls, transparency, and accountability.
