Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management is seeking a senior lawyer for its BPW Legal and Regulatory Team based in Singapore or Hong Kong. The role focuses on establishing feeder funds, drafting distribution agreements, and ensuring compliance for Brookfield’s private and registered funds within APAC.

The candidate will advise on regulation, governance, and marketing of funds across wealth management platforms, collaborating with global teams and external counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• J.D. or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Licensed to practice in Singapore or Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Advise on regulation, establishment, governance and marketing of Brookfield funds in the wealth management channels.
• Negotiate distribution, letters of understanding, selling and other product distribution agreements with intermediaries.
• Collaborate with internal and external counsel to align legal and regulatory approaches across Brookfield.
• Support APAC legal/regulatory matters and feeder fund structures including onshore/offshore distributions.
• Assist in responding to due diligence queries from prospective investors specific to Brookfield funds.
