Job summary

Brookfield is recruiting a lawyer for its BPW Legal and Regulatory Team, based in Singapore or Hong Kong, to structure feeder funds and negotiate distribution agreements with wealth platforms. The role focuses on private and evergreen funds, governance, and regulatory compliance across APAC.

The candidate should have a J.D., be licensed to practice, and possess 7+ years of experience, ideally in-house, with private funds and distribution experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in Singapore or Hong Kong.
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience, in-house preferred.
• Experience with private funds, evergreen products and distribution matters.
• Knowledge of broker-dealer and fund regulations globally.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate distribution and related agreements for private and evergreen funds.
• Coordinate with internal and external counsel on negotiations with intermediaries.
• Advise on cross-border sale of US/EU funds and offshore feeder structures.
• Support due diligence queries related to Brookfield funds' legal structure.
