Cantina Labs is seeking a Visual Data Curation Specialist to join our research team in Singapore. You will identify and evaluate image and video sources that support the development of our video generation and multimodal models.

This role combines visual expertise with research and analytical judgment. You’ll collaborate with researchers and engineers to translate requirements into sourcing priorities, build a structured source catalogue, and refine criteria as needs evolve.

Qualifications

Background in film, photography, animation, design or visual arts.
Experience translating research needs into sourcing criteria or briefs.
Strong ability to assess aesthetics, quality and relevance of content.
Proven ability to organize information with cataloging and metadata.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate image and video sources across platforms and archives.
Collaborate with researchers to translate model priorities into sourcing briefs.
Assess content for aesthetics, technical quality, and relevance to research goals.
Build and maintain a structured source catalogue with metadata and quality assessments.
Identify coverage gaps and propose targeted sourcing approaches.
Review sample content with colleagues and refine selection criteria.
Document provenance and usage rights considerations.
Develop repeatable curation workflows and tagging systems.
