Cantina Labs invites applications for a Visual Data Curation Specialist to join our research team in Singapore. You will identify and evaluate image and video sources that support the development of our video generation and multimodal models.

You will build a structured source catalogue, translate model priorities into sourcing briefs, assess content for aesthetics and technical quality, and collaborate with researchers and engineers to refine selection criteria and workflows.

Qualifications

• Background in film, photography, animation, design or related field.
• Portfolio or professional experience in visual content.
• Prior machine learning experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate image and video sources across creator communities and platforms.
• Translate model development priorities into sourcing briefs, criteria and content categories.
• Assess content for aesthetics, technical quality and research relevance.
• Build and maintain a structured source catalogue with metadata and quality assessments.
• Identify gaps in coverage and propose targeted sourcing approaches.
• Review sample content with research and engineering teams and refine criteria.
• Document source provenance and licensing considerations.
• Develop repeatable curation workflows and quality guidelines.
