Job summary

Cantina Labs is seeking a Visual Data Curation Specialist to join our research team in Singapore. You will identify and evaluate image and video sources for our video generation and multimodal models, working with researchers to translate needs into clear sourcing briefs and criteria.

You’ll own sourcing projects from discovery through review, building a structured catalogue with metadata and quality guidelines, and refining criteria as requirements evolve.

Qualifications

• Background in film, photography, animation, design or visual arts.
• Strong research skills to assess sources and turn findings into recommendations.
• Ability to organize information and work with spreadsheets or DAM tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate image/video sources from creator communities and platforms.
• Partner with researchers to create sourcing briefs and criteria.
• Assess content for aesthetics, quality and relevance.
• Build a structured source catalogue with metadata and quality assessments.
• Identify gaps and propose targeted sourcing approaches.
• Review content with colleagues and refine criteria as needed.
• Document source provenance and licensing questions.
• Develop repeatable curation workflows and tools.
