Job summary

GETECH Automation PTE LTD is seeking a Vision Solution Engineer to develop and optimise vision systems for inspection, measurement, and defect detection. You will configure hardware and software, support field service engineers, and evaluate system performance.

The role requires hands-on experience with OpenCV, HALCON, Cognex VisionPro, or similar libraries, and programming in C++, C#, or Python. Travel willingness is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in vision applications.
• Knowledge of vision and optical inspection systems is preferred.
• Experience in programming languages related to vision applications (C++, C#, Python).
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, RS-232, and camera interfaces.
• Knowledge of deep learning-based vision solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and maintain vision applications, including inspection and measurement tasks.
• Make decisions on procurement, installation, and maintenance of vision components (PCs, cameras, lighting).
• Configure vision systems (host PCs, frame grabbers, cameras, illumination, interfaces) for optimal performance.
• Hands-on experience with vision libraries/frameworks such as OpenCV, HALCON, or Cognex VisionPro.
• Provide technical support to field service engineers and customers.
• Evaluate and establish system performance specifications and prepare documentation and training.
• Explore new vision technologies and implement them in projects.

• Develop, analyze, and maintain various vision applications, including measurement, defect inspection, component presence detection, and more.
• Make decisions on the selection, procurement, installation, and maintenance of vision-related components such as PCs, cameras, and lighting based on application requirements
• Configure vision systems, including host PCs, frame grabbers, cameras, illumination, motion control, and interfaces, to achieve optimal system performance.
• Possess hands-on experience with vision software libraries/frameworks such as HIK, OpenCV, HALCON, or Cognex VisionPro.
• Provide technical support to field service engineers and customers.
• Evaluate and establish vision system performance specifications, as well as prepare technical documentation and conduct training.
• Explore new vision technologies and implement them in relevant projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in vision applications.
• Knowledge of vision and optical inspection systems is preferred.
• Experience in programming languages related to vision applications, such as C++, C#, or Python.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, RS-232, and camera interfaces.
