Job summary

AEM SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. invites a skilled Vision Software Engineer to join our machine-vision team in Singapore. You will configure hardware, develop and test vision algorithms, and ensure robust integration with C#, WPF, and the .NET Framework.

You will support customers from requirements through commissioning, provide post-installation support, and work in an Agile environment. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, and occasional overseas travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in related fields.
• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• Proficient in C#, WPF, Python, .NET Framework, and OOP.

Responsibilities

• Configure and integrate vision hardware, including cameras, lenses, and lighting systems.
• Develop, test, and optimize vision algorithms and vision systems.
• Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot existing software applications using C#, WPF, and .NET Framework.
• Interface vision systems and I/O with machine equipment.
• Support machine setup, vision application implementation, commissioning, and customer buy-off activities.
• Work closely with customers to understand requirements and deliver effective vision solutions.
• Provide post-installation technical support and troubleshooting.
• Follow Agile software development methodology.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related disciplines
• Minimum 2 years of software development experience
• Proficient in C#, WPF, Python, .NET Framework, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Strong software development fundamentals and coding best practices
• Experience with Halcon HDevelop, Cognex VisionPro, or other mainstream vision libraries
• Knowledge of vision hardware integration and machine interfacing
• Ability to independently handle projects from understanding customer requirements through implementation and support.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Customer-oriented with the ability to deliver quality support and solutions
• Willingness to travel overseas
