Job summary

AP Media PTE. LTD. is seeking a Virtual Production Camera Technician to set up, operate, and maintain studio and virtual production equipment, ensuring production readiness and reliable performance.

You will troubleshoot imaging systems, update firmware, and design camera signal flows for both physical and virtual environments, while adhering to safety standards and collaborating with the production team.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating studio and virtual production equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot cameras and imaging equipment and report findings clearly.
• Experience updating firmware and software across devices.
• Knowledge of HD-SDI, DisplayPort/HDMI, RAW workflows, and color metadata.
• Ability to read and design camera and signal-flow diagrams.
• Familiarity with safe operation standards in studio environments.
• Strong communication with production teams.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, operate, and maintain studio and virtual production gear.
• Troubleshoot camera and imaging equipment and provide reports.
• Maintain firmware/software and ensure real-time workflow compatibility.
• Ensure equipment meets safety standards with minimal downtime.
• Read and design camera signal-flow diagrams.
• Manage and route video signals including genlock and timecode.
• Apply knowledge of video standards (HD-SDI, HDMI, RAW workflows).
• Support tracking hardware and AV signal flow across LED volume.
• Assist calibration workflows for lenses and tracking hardware.
• Collaborate with Virtual Production team for calibration and rendering.
