Job summary

Centific is seeking a detail-oriented Video Annotator for a 6-month contract at One North, Singapore. The role involves reviewing, labelling and editing captions on video content to support AI/ML model training.

A mandatory background check is part of onboarding. Diploma required; prior data annotation or captioning experience is a plus. Working hours are Mon-Fri 9am-6pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma qualification required in any field.
• Experience in data annotation or captioning is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficient with video annotation and captioning tools.

Responsibilities

• Review and annotate image/video footage frame-by-frame or by segment according to labelling schemas.
• Apply bounding boxes, tracking IDs, event tags, or classification labels to objects/actions within content.
• Edit, correct, and time-sync captions against audio/video content for accuracy.
• Check captions for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and correct speaker attribution.
• Ensure annotations and captions meet accuracy and quality benchmarks set by the project.
• Flag ambiguous or edge-case content for review/escalation.
• Follow guidelines and update work based on QA feedback.
• Maintain productivity targets while meeting quality standards.
• Attend briefings/training sessions on tool usage and guidelines.
• Report progress and issues to the Team Lead.

Job Summary
We are looking for detail-oriented Annotators to support on video annotation and caption editing tasks. The role involves reviewing, labelling, tagging, and editing captions on video content accurately according to project guidelines to support AI/ML model training. This role requires a mandatory background check as part of the onboarding process.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and annotate image / video footage frame-by-frame or by segment according to defined labelling schemas
• Apply bounding boxes, tracking IDs, event tags, or classification labels to objects/actions within image / video content
• Edit, correct, and time-sync captions against audio/video content for accuracy
• Check captions for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and correct speaker attribution

• Flag ambiguous, unclear, or edge-case video/caption content for review/escalation
• Follow annotation and captioning guidelines and update work based on QA feedback
• Maintain productivity targets while meeting quality standards

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma qualification in any discipline.
• Prior experience in data annotation, captioning, subtitling, content moderation, or other language/content-related roles will be an advantage, but is not mandatory.
• Comfortable working with video annotation, captioning, and content-editing tools or digital platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in English language, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and caption accuracy.
• Able to understand and follow structured guidelines, workflows, and quality standards, with good judgement when handling edge cases.
• Good computer literacy, including the ability to navigate software applications, online platforms, and spreadsheets.
• Good written and spoken English, as the role involves reviewing and editing English captions.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and content guidelines.
