Our client is a leading late stage fintech with over a billion in funding, and are revolutionizing the payments industry. Their innovative solutions are transforming how businesses handle transactions with a full suite of products that allow businesses to accept, process, and disburse payments. As part of their 2026 growth plans, they are seeking an exceptional (Global) Vice President - Payments to shape the future of their cross border payments business, while managing growing a geographically distributed team.

Job Description

Our client, a late stage pre-IPO Fintech leaders are looking for a visionary and execution-driven Vice President - Payments to lead and scale their international payments business. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will own the P&L, drive product innovation, and lead cross-functional teams across Product, Business, Engineering, and Design. You will be responsible for spearheading all international expansion into SEA, US, and EU markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and scale the Cross Border Payments business end-to-end.
  • Drive product development, execution, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead and mentor high-performing teams; set scalable processes and systems.
  • Build and nurture partnerships with banks, fintechs, and financial institutions globally.
  • Define and execute long-term business and product strategy.
  • Operate with an owner mindset and thrive in ambiguity and complexity.
  • Lead an existing team of 40-50 headcounts and grow it further.

The Successful Applicant

To be a successful application, you have:

  • Proven experience in cross border payments across APAC, US, and EU.
  • Strong track record in Sales & Business Unit growth.
  • Deep understanding of the cross border ecosystem - banks, fintechs, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action and innovation.
  • Analytical, data-driven, and customer-first mindset.
  • Prior experience in a scale up would be incredibly helpful, having led teams of 100+ headcounts.
