Job summary

SGX Group operates Singapore’s securities and derivatives exchange. The Senior Core AI Engineer is a senior individual contributor within the AI and Digital Experience team, responsible for building and maintaining SGX’s shared AI services and platform infrastructure to enable engineers across business units to deliver AI use cases reliably and at scale.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineering experience with Python including production debugging.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, and document processing.
• Experience applying data governance and security controls in regulated environments.
• Ability to make and document architectural decisions with minimal oversight.
• Experience designing and maintaining APIs and shared services.
• Track record of setting engineering standards and mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain shared and reusable AI services and components.
• Design and implement observability and monitoring standards for AI services.
• Define APIs, integration patterns, cohesive architecture, and engineering standards.
• Provide technical guidance and code review to engineers across business units.
• Own technical documentation and governance artefacts for AI use cases.
• Lead pre-deployment reviews for medium and high-risk use cases.
