Job summary

JALHANSA SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Shipping Agent to support port agency operations in Singapore.

You will coordinate vessel port calls, attend boarding at anchorages and terminals, and arrange crew changes, husbandry services and other port services. The role requires proactive problem solving and operating under pressure. You will work with vessels, terminals, authorities and internal teams, ensuring safety, efficiency and timely responses to changes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping, port agency, marine operations or a related field is preferred.
• Physically fit and able to board/climb vessels independently without supervision.
• Able to work independently and make sound decisions during operations.
• Able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Responsible, proactive and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Required to work irregular hours, weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage vessel port calls from arrival to departure.
• Attend vessels boarding at anchorages / terminals and handle vessel-related operational matters.
• Coordinate crew changes, husbandry services, launches, transportation and other port services.
• Monitor vessel schedules and respond promptly to operational changes.
• Handle multiple vessel operations and tasks simultaneously.
• Prepare and maintain necessary operational documentation and reports.
• Provide 24/7 operational support when required.
• Ensure all operations are conducted safely, efficiently and professionally.
