Job summary

ROYAL OCEAN MARINE ENTERPRISE PTE. LTD. seeks a Vessel Operator to manage commercial and post-fixture voyage operations for tanker vessels, ensuring safe, cost-effective and compliant voyage execution.

You will monitor vessel movements, optimize bunker usage, handle cargo documentation, and coordinate multi-party communications to protect commercial interests. This role requires practical tanker ops experience and familiarity with MARPOL/SOLAS/ISM frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in maritime studies, shipping, logistics or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of charter party agreements, laytime calculations, and tanker operations.
• Proficiency with maritime software such as IMOS and Veson Voyage Management, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Issue voyage instructions to Masters and agents to ensure compliance with Charter Party warranties and optimize performance.
• Monitor vessel movements, speed and fuel usage to maintain efficiency and cost control.
• Coordinate loading/discharge, review stowage and pumping plans for safe turnaround times and cargo safety.
• Act as operational liaison among Masters, Charterers, Brokers, Port Agents, Terminals and Bunker Suppliers.
• Oversee shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, Notice of Readiness, Statements of Facts and Letters of Indemnity.
• Plan bunker procurement across voyages to minimize fuel costs while maintaining reserves.
