Job summary

Innergy Consulting Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Vessel Manager/Technical Superintendent to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of a fleet.

The role requires proactive leadership, reporting, and collaboration with vessel crews. Candidates should have 4–6 years in vessel management on container vessels, with former Chief/Second Engineer background encouraged. Knowledge of PMS/SMS and dry-docking is essential.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in vessel management on container ships
• Experience as Chief or Second Engineer with container ships preferred
• Familiar with PMS and SMS systems and dry-docking

Responsibilities

• Manage regular reports from vessels and file them in a structured way
• Review routine reports from the vessel
• Carry out data analysis of costs, PMS and KPI factors to assess ship health
• Maintain data quality in Ship manager system by crew
• Formulate a dynamic work plan with the vessel's command to ensure maintenance per Owner's policy
• Visit vessels as required and report on condition, repairs, costs, crew performance, safety, environment protection
• Prepare technical specs for dockings and pre-purchase inspections in Asia
• Assist in technical analysis for new purchases

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Vessel Manager for one of our global shipping clients. The Technical Superintendent will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the company’s fleet of vessels.

The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of experience as Vessel Manager preferably on container vessels. He/she would possess good working attitude and has the ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Manage regularreports from vesselsassigned to him/herand file them in a structured approach.
• Review and follow up on routinereports from the vessel.
• Carry out regulardata analysis of costs, PMS and other KPI factorsin order to ascertain health of the ship as far ship management is concerned.
• Maintain structure and quality of data fed into Ship manager systemby crew onboard the vessels (GL system).
• Formulate a dynamic work plan and action list with the vessel's command, to ensure that the vessel is maintained in accordance with the Owner's policy and to receive regular reports as to its progress.
• Visit the vessels as and when required and reporting on general condition, repairs and maintenance, crew performance, safety, environmental protection, and any actions required. Discuss with Ship'sCommand the work plan, runningcosts, spares and stores and other issuesof concern and reporting on same.
• Prepare technicalspecs for dockings& pre-purchase inspections in Asia region.
• Assist in carrying out technical analysisfor new purchases.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

• Min 4-6 years of experience in similar capacity on container vessels (a mix of containers and tankers will be considered)
• Prior experience as Chief or Second Engineer with minimum sailing experience preferably on container vessels. Otherwise, sailing experience on cargo ships (container/ bulk carrier / tanker) is required.
• Prior experience in dry docking and technical management will be an advantage
• Candidate should have good knowledge of PMS and SMS system
