Job summary

INNERGY CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Vessel Manager for a global shipping client in Singapore. The Technical Superintendent will oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of the fleet, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years on container vessels, prior Chief/Second Engineer sailing, and solid PMS/SMS knowledge. You will manage reports, perform cost analysis, and coordinate dry-dockings with Ship manager systems.

Qualifications

• Min 4–6 years of experience on container vessels (mix with tankers possible).
• Prior experience as Chief or Second Engineer with container vessel sailing.
• Knowledge of PMS and SMS systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage regular reports from vessels and file them in a structured approach.
• Review and follow up on routine reports from the vessel.
• Carry out regular data analysis of costs, PMS and other KPI factors in order to ascertain health of the ship as far ship management is concerned.
• Maintain structure and quality of data fed into Ship manager system by crew onboard the vessels (GL system).
• Formulate a dynamic work plan and action list with the vessel's command, to ensure that the vessel is maintained in accordance with the Owner's policy and to receive regular reports as to its progress.
• Visit the vessels as and when required and reporting on general condition, repairs and maintenance, crew performance, safety, environmental protection, and any actions required. Discuss with Ship's Command the work plan, running costs, spares and stores and other issues of concern and reporting on same.
• Prepare technical specs for dockings & pre-purchase inspections in Asia region.
• Assist in carrying out technical analysis for new purchases.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Vessel Manager for one of our global shipping clients. The Technical Superintendent will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the company's fleet of vessels.

The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of experience as Technical Superintendent preferably on container vessels. He/she would possess good working attitude and has the ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines.

• Manage regular reports from vessels assigned to him/her and file them in a structured approach.
• Review and follow up on routine reports from the vessel.
• Carry out regular data analysis of costs, PMS and other KPI factors in order to ascertain health of the ship as far ship management is concerned.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

• Min 4-6 years of experience in similar capacity on container vessels (a mix of containers and tankers will be considered)
• Prior experience as Chief or Second Engineer with minimum sailing experience preferably on container vessels. Otherwise, sailing experience on cargo ships (container/ bulk carrier / tanker) is required.
• Prior experience in dry docking and technical management will be an advantage
• Candidate should have good knowledge of PMS and SMS system
