You will coordinate with technical and operations teams, provide insights on budgeting and forecasting, and drive process improvements. Strong communication with customers and teams is essential; proficiency in SAP/Oracle or maritime ERP, Excel and modelling is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA/ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years in vessel accounting with supervision/financial control experience.
• Strong grasp of ship management financial reporting and working capital management.
• Proven ability to analyse financial data, identify variances, and recommend actions.
• Excellent liaison with customers, technical, and operations teams; multitask capable.
• Experience with SAP/Oracle or maritime ERP systems, Excel and modelling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit financial reporting for assigned fleet/customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review actual vs. budget performance; identify overspending and improvement opportunities.
• Make accruals based on trend analysis, prepayments, and supporting systems.
• Provide financial insights to Technical & Operations teams and ensure report completion.
• Lead monthly financial meetings with Technical and Operations teams.
• Ensure comments are included in financial reports before sharing with customers.
• Follow up on customer queries regarding reports and variances; meet budgeting needs.
• Monitor funding and working capital; send reminders for outstanding payments.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for vessels/customers.
• Train and guide vessel accountants; drive process improvements for accuracy.
