Job summary

Qualifications

• Higher education in naval architecture or marine engineering is required.
• Experience as chief engineer or vessel manager is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISM Code, ISPS, MLC, SOLAS, MARPOL, Class and vetting requirements.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of assigned vessels to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective performance.
• Act as the primary office-to-shipboard liaison, coordinating technical issues and budgets.
• Monitor inspections and ensure readiness for audits and certifications.
• Supervise crew selection, performance evaluation, and wellbeing of officers.
• Develop and control the vessel’s annual operating budget, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Coordinate dry dockings, repairs, and vessel modifications within cost and schedule targets.
• Support audits, inspections, and crisis management exercises.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental KPIs, and performance targets.
