Job summary

INNERGY CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks a detail-oriented Vessel Accounting Executive to support the Vessel Accounting Manager in preparing, analyzing, and reporting vessel accounting data.

You will help ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly vessel accounts, including reconciliations and journal entries. Responsibilities include handling the full spectrum of vessel accounting functions, data entry into accounting systems, journal vouchers, and supporting monthly reports and variance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or professional accounting qualifications.
• Strong accounting knowledge with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in vessel accounting or ship management is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the full spectrum of vessel accounting functions.
• Perform daily accounting activities, including data entry, journal vouchers, and GL/AP documentation.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts for assigned vessels and prepare supporting schedules.
• Support monthly vessel reports and variance analyses for the Vessel Accounting Manager.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Vessel Accounting Executive for our client. This position will play a key role in supporting the Vessel Accounting Manager in the preparation, analysis, and reporting of vessel accounting data. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of monthly vessel accounts, including reconciliations and journal entries.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the full spectrum of vessel accounting functions.
• Perform daily accounting activities, including data entry into accounting systems, preparation of journal vouchers, and compilation of supporting documentation related to General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts for assigned vessels, including master cash, bond store, accruals, and other key accounts.
• Support the Senior Vessel Accounting Manager in preparing monthly vessel reports and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Requirement:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or professional accounting qualifications.
• Relevant experience in vessel accounting or ship management companies is highly advantageous.
• Strong accounting knowledge with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with ABS NS and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
