Job summary

DIRECT SEARCH ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a Vessel Accounting Assistant based in Singapore. You will manage day-to-day accounting for assigned vessels, process portage and crew-related accounting, and prepare funding requests for vessel owners.

You will compile vessel accounting reports with supporting documents, coordinate with internal teams to meet timelines, review vessel reports, and assist with intercompany reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and audit-ready records are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned vessels.
• Process and review portage bill and crew-related accounting transactions.
• Prepare funding requests for vessel owners and follow up on incoming funds.
• Compile complete vessel accounting reports together with the relevant supporting documents.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure reports are completed accurately and within the required timelines.
• Review vessel reports, identify discrepancies and respond to queries raised by vessel owners.
• Assist with the reconciliation of intercompany and vessel-related balances.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
