Job summary

SAMWOH CORPORATION PTE. LTD. seeks a Civil Engineer with at least 5 years of construction/infrastructure experience to support Project Managers and site teams in Singapore.

Responsibilities include coordination of utilities, subcontractors, and client interfaces, ensuring compliance with contract drawings, ESH standards, and project schedules. Work location is the East side of Singapore.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by Singapore Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
• At least 5 years of working experience in the Construction Industry and Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Report and assist Project Manager on project functions including project management, site management, risk control management to meet project goals.
• Assist the Utility Manager on related underground utilities and services.
• Coordinate between subcontractor, utilities agencies and Client to resolve discrepancies on utility plan.
• Liaise with SWCs on interfacing services clashes on site in a fair and professional manner.
• Ensure all NCE are in proper order prior to excavation works.
• Check and coordinate with Site Engineer to ensure no excavation without cable detection or valid NCE.
• Assist Project Manager in project planning and to coordinate all construction works per master and detailed work program.
• Prepare, plan and submit project documents such as schedules, method statements, risk assessments, monthly reports, etc.
• Supervise execution of construction works to meet contract specs, drawings, and ESH practices.
• Coordinate with Client’s representatives, Authorities, Consultants, Subcontractors, Suppliers on project aspects and provide resolutions.
• Liaise with client/consultant for site inspections and submission of technical reports; support Contract department in progress payments.
• Attend regular meetings with Client’s Representative, Consultants and Contractors to keep progress on schedule.
• Establish document control system and review design drawings, project documents and specifications.
• Be responsible for any other duties assigned by superior/management.

Education

Degree in Civil Engineering (PEB recognised)

Job description

Role & Responsibilities:

• d) Liaise and resolve with SWCs on interfacing services clashes on site in a fair and professional manner
• e) Ensure all NCE are in proper order prior to excavation works
• f) Check and Coordinate with Site Engineer to ensure that no excavation work being conducted without cable detection or valid NCE
• g) Assist the Project Manager in project planning, implementation and to coordinate all construction works on the project site are in accordance to the master and detailed work program.
• h) Prepare, plan and submit project related documents, such as schedules, method statement, design plan, risk assessment, monthly report, etc.
• i) To supervise the execution of the construction works and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with contract specification/bills of quantities, construction drawings, company’s quality standards, Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) practices and all other contract document.
• j) To coordinate and liaise with Client’s representatives, relevant Authorities, Consultant, Subcontractors, Suppliers, etc. on all project aspects and need be, to provide all technical and non-technical resolutions followed by documentation.
• k) Liaise with client or consultant for site inspections, submission of necessary technical reports and ensure necessary records are maintained at site. Assist Contract department (QS) in verifying progress payments and claims from Contractors.
• l) Attend regular meetings with Client’s Representative, Consultants and/or Contractors and ensure the progress is on schedule
• m) Establish proper and effective document control system, maintain & conduct reviews of detail design drawings, project documents and specifications.
• n) Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as your superior/management deem fit.

Requirements:
