Job summary

IL NETWORK PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an interior designer to lead client consultations, present design concepts, and manage end-to-end interior design projects for residential and commercial spaces.

You will draft and refine construction drawings, create compelling 2D/3D visualizations, and ensure compliance with Singapore Building Codes. A strong eye for detail and excellent coordination skills are essential, with a commission-based structure offering a 50/50 share.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Environmental Design, or related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience managing interior design/renovation projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp; skilled in 3D rendering software (Enscape, V-Ray, 3ds Max).
• Familiar with interior construction processes, material properties, and Singapore Building Codes & Regulations.
• Exceptional organizational and coordination skills with ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Client Consultation & Sales: assess client needs, present concepts, prepare RFQs, close sales and hit targets.
• Design & Technical Execution: develop design concepts, space planning, create 2D/3D visuals, ensure drawings meet local codes.
• Project Management & Site Supervision: plan timelines, monitor construction, report to clients, oversee handovers.

Key Responsibilities

1.Client Consultation & Sales

• Needs Assessment: Meet with clients to gain a deep understanding of their lifestyle, functional requirements, and budget constraints.
• Concept Presentation: Develop and present design concepts, including space planning, material palettes, and customized solutions.
• Quotation & Closing: Prepare accurate and detailed Request for Quotations (RFQs), effectively close sales, and achieve personal sales targets.
• Relationship Management: Uphold a customer-centric service philosophy, promptly resolve design or service issues, and build long-term trust.

2. Design & Technical Execution

• Design Development: Create innovative design concepts and optimize space planning for residential and commercial projects, balancing functionality with aesthetics.
• Drafting & Modeling: Independently produce full sets of technical construction drawings (floor plans, elevations, section drawings, and specification documents) and generate high-quality 2D/3D visualizations to help clients imagine their spaces.
• Refinement & Revision: Rapidly iterate design solutions based on client feedback, ensuring technical drawings comply with local Singapore building codes and regulations.

3. Project Management & Site Supervision

• Timeline Management: Formulate project schedules and manage construction timelines effectively to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Site Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site visits and work closely with contractors to ensure execution aligns precisely with design intent and quality standards.
• Client Reporting: Regularly update clients on project progress, coordinate final handovers, and prepare completion documentation.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field.
• Work Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands‑on experience independently managing end-to-end interior design and renovation projects (residential or commercial).
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp; skilled in 3D rendering software (e.g., Enscape, V-Ray, 3ds Max, etc.)
• Technical Knowledge: Familiar with interior construction processes, material properties, and Singapore Building Codes & Regulations.
