Job summary

Adcellence Services in Singapore is seeking an interior designer to translate client requirements into practical, aesthetic renovation designs for residential and commercial spaces. You will prepare proposals, space plans, and drawings, coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or related field, strong skills with AutoCAD and SketchUp, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Built Environment, or related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in residential/commercial interior design, renovation, carpentry, or fit-out projects is advantageous.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering software, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other relevant design tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor progress to ensure work complies with designs, timelines and quality standards.
• Handle client feedback, variation orders, site issues, and design changes professionally.
• Keep records of drawings, quotations, material selections, and approvals.

Job Responsibilities

1. Meet clients to understand their renovation requirements, lifestyle needs, design preferences, budget, and project timeline.
2. Prepare design proposals, mood boards, space planning layouts, material selections, and renovation concepts for residential and commercial projects.
3. Produce or coordinate drawings such as floor plans, elevations, 3D drawings, carpentry details, electrical plans, lighting plans, and other renovation-related drawings.
4. Recommend suitable materials, finishes, colours, furniture, fittings, lighting, and carpentry solutions based on client requirements and budget.
5. Prepare quotations, cost estimates, and project proposals for renovation and interior design works.
6. Conduct site visits and site measurements to assess existing conditions and ensure design accuracy.
7. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, tilers, painters, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
8. Monitor renovation progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved designs, specifications, timeline, and quality standards.
9. Handle client feedback, variation orders, site issues, and design changes professionally.
10. Keep proper records of drawings, quotations, material selections, project schedules, client approvals, and site updates.
11. Keep up to date with Singapore renovation trends, HDB / condo renovation requirements, material options, space-saving solutions, and interior design styles.
12. Achieve sales and project targets set by the company where applicable.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Built Environment, or related field is preferred.
2. Prior experience in residential or commercial interior design, renovation, carpentry, or fit-out projects will be an advantage.
3. Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering software, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other relevant design tools.
4. Able to understand client needs and translate them into practical, aesthetic, and functional design solutions.
5. Good knowledge of space planning, materials, carpentry details, colour coordination, lighting, and renovation processes.
6. Familiarity with Singapore renovation practices, HDB guidelines, condo management requirements, and basic site coordination will be an advantage.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design concepts, quotations, timelines, and renovation details clearly to clients.
8. Able to coordinate effectively with contractors, suppliers, carpenters, and internal project teams.
9. Responsible, organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
10. Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced SME environment.
11. Must be prepared to work on weekends and public holidays when required, especially for client meetings, showroom appointments, site visits, or project handovers.
12. Possess own transport will be an advantage.
