Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a technical support professional to assist the Sales team by evaluating application possibilities and designing vacuum systems to meet customer specifications.

You will select suitable instruments and components, respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, and coordinate testing and commissioning across Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. On-site supervision and customer training are expected as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical support to customers and assisting Sales by evaluating application possibilities and designing vacuum systems with suitable technical solutions.
• Selecting instruments and components to meet customer requirements and specifications.
• Handling sales inquiries and preparing proposals for vacuum pumps and systems.
• Supporting Sales by daily follow-up on quotations and technical clarifications.
• Serving as single point of contact for technical clarifications for customers, contractors and distributors.
• Tracking and reporting quote activities; participating in monthly reporting processes.
• Overseeing engineering, fabrication and performance of small to medium vacuum systems.
• Coordinating and overseeing large systems where the system is built by other Busch Companies.
• Supervising system technicians during assembly of pipes, valves, instruments, skid frames, control panels and testing/painting.
• Conducting FAT at production facilities and T&C at customer sites.
• Training customers in system operation as required.
• Territorial scope includes Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Job description

• Responsible for providing technical support to the customer. Supporting Sales team by engaging customers to evaluate application possibilities, calculate and design vacuum systems by proposing suitable technical solutions. This also includes selecting suitable instruments and components to meet the customer’s requirements and specifications.
• Handling sales inquiries and generating proposals relating to the sale of vacuum pumps & systems.
• Support Sales team by engaging the customers on a day-to-day basis to follow up on quotations and technical clarification.
• Act as the single point of contact for technical clarifications for customers, contractors and distributors.
• Track and report quote activities; participate in Monthly Reporting process.
• Responsible for the engineering, fabrication and performance of small and medium vacuum systems.
• Responsible for the coordination and performance of large systems where the system is built by other Busch Companies.
• Supervise and provide necessary guidance to the system technician to execute system assembly involving pipe fittings, valves, instruments, skid frames, control panel and up to testing and painting.
• Be responsible for Final Acceptance Testing (FAT) in system production facility and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) at customer site.
• Training of customers in systems operation as required.
• The scope of territorial support includes Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines.
