Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to provide technical and application support for vacuum pumps and systems in Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines. You will design systems, prepare proposals, and coordinate with factories and customers to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 3-4 years of experience, a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, and mandatory 3D SolidWorks proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Process Technology or Chemical Engineering background preferred.
• 3-4 years of experience in application engineering and technical sales support.
• Proficient in 3D SolidWorks (mandatory).
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment, mechanical construction and basic electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application support to customers and the Sales team on vacuum pumps and systems.
• Evaluate customer requirements and propose suitable technical solutions, including system design and component selection.
• Handle sales enquiries, prepare technical proposals and quotations, and provide technical clarifications.
• Design and oversee the fabrication, assembly and performance of small to medium vacuum systems.
• Coordinate with factories, vendors and subcontractors on system design, fabrication and project execution.
• Prepare engineering drawings, general arrangement drawings and P&IDs using 3D SolidWorks.
• Supervise system assembly, testing and commissioning, including FAT.
• Review customer specifications, coordinate order fulfilment and provide shipment updates.
• Conduct customer training on system operations when required.
• Provide technical support across Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines.
