Job summary

PES International is hiring a Biotechnologist in Singapore to support biochemical manufacturing operations and ensure compliance with cGMP and safety standards.

You will perform equipment preparation, vessel cleaning/sterilization, and solution preparation, monitor processing equipment, and help with environmental monitoring and data entry. Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts on weekends and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Life Sciences or Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of related working experience.
• Strong problem solving, interpersonal communication and teamwork.
• Self-starter with a strong focus on safety, quality and details.
• Ability to work weekends, off-shifts and overtime as required.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 kg.
• Support manufacturing operations to meet production goals and objectives.
• Experience with equipment prep, vessel cleaning/sterilization and solution prep.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing activities including equipment prep, cleaning/sterilization and solution preparation.
• Operate and monitor biochemical processing equipment per approved procedures and cGMP.
• Conduct environmental monitoring and housekeeping in manufacturing areas.
• Complete docs accurately per manufacturing formulas and procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and support continuous improvement.
• Operate process-control systems and enter production data.
• Collaborate with shift personnel and participate in handover meetings.
• Ensure activities comply with Safety, SHE and cGMP requirements.

We are currently looking for a Biotechnologist to join us on a permanent role to help us deliver various projects in the Life Sciences Industry.

Key Attributes/Responsibilities

• Diploma in Life Sciences or Engineering discipline or equivalent holders.


• Minimum 5 years of related working experience


• Must possess good problem solving, interpersonal communication and team skills.


• Must be a self-starter with a strong focus on safety, quality, details and results.


• Must be able to work weekends, off-shifts and overtime as required.


• Must be able to carry heavy loads of up to 25kg.


• Support Biochemical Manufacturing operations to achieve departmental production goals and objectives.


• Perform assigned manufacturing activities including equipment preparation, vessel cleaning/sterilization, solution preparation, raw material sampling and dispensing.


• Operate and monitor biochemical processing equipment in accordance with approved procedures and cGMP requirements.


• Conduct environmental monitoring and maintain proper housekeeping within manufacturing areas.


• Complete manufacturing documentation accurately and in accordance with approved manufacturing formulae and procedures.


• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and support continuous process improvement initiatives.


• Operate computerized process-control systems and perform required production data entry.


• Collaborate with shift personnel and support functions, and participate in staff and shift handover meetings.


• Perform all activities in compliance with Safety, SHE and cGMP requirements, including timely reporting of incidents and near misses.


• Work with limited supervision, resolve moderately complex operational issues within established procedures, and recommend improvements to operating practices where appropriate.

Shift Pattern

• Shift Type: 12-Hour Rotating Shift


• Shift Rotation Pattern: 3-2-2 Pattern (e.g., 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on / 3 nights on, 2 nights off, 2 nights off)


• Rotation Cycle: 2 months on Day Shift, followed by 2 months on Night Shift
