Job summary

ITCAN PTE. LIMITED is seeking a System Engineer to assist in project implementation and ongoing maintenance of the implemented system in Singapore. You will perform routine maintenance, OS/application upgrades, and handle service requests.

The role requires 2-3 years of experience with UNIX/Linux, Windows Server, VM, ITIL awareness, and strong analytical and communication skills. You will document processes and participate in ISO audits and new projects.

Qualifications

Diploma or equivalent in Computer/IT with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
2–3 years as System Engineer with UNIX/Linux and database experience.
Trained or certified in Windows Server, UNIX/LINUX, VM and ITIL is advantageous.
Analytical, proactive, multi-tasking and able to prioritize work.
Strong English communication skills and ability to work independently.
Motivated with challenger spirit; leadership encouraged.
Exceptional troubleshooting and customer handling skills.
Willingness to provide 24x7 standby support.

Responsibilities

Assist in routine maintenance activities as scheduled.
Perform OS/application upgrades/patching.
Attend to system or application service and change requests.
Provide resolution for incidents and work with external support when required.
Identify root causes and preventive/corrective measures for recurring incidents.
Provide incident reporting for stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
Assist in preparing system related documents and ISO Audit.
Participate in new project implementation, requirement gathering, setup & testing and commissioning.
