Job summary

Nanyang Technological University is seeking a Counsellor for the University Counselling Centre to support student wellbeing and mental health. The successful candidate will provide counselling to undergraduate and graduate students and work with internal and external stakeholders to promote a campus-wide mental health approach.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, intervention planning, case formulation, crisis management, and documentation in line with university policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counselling.
• Clinical member and SAC registration preferred.
• At least three years of professional counselling experience.
• Experience working with young adults in educational settings.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary teams is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and data privacy awareness.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional counselling for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Conduct risk and need assessments and deliver intervention plans.
• Facilitate case formulation and referrals to relevant organisations.
• Escalate and co-manage crisis cases with senior practitioners.
• Maintain proper clinical records per Centre policies.
• Develop wellbeing training initiatives and portfolio projects.
• Collaborate with schools, student services, halls and care teams to support students.
