  • Provide clinical input and leadership in the management of complex cases, including collaboration with internal and external stakeholders during multi-unit discussions and case conferences
  • Coordinate and provide follow-up care as part of CARE responses during and after critical incidents
  • To assign tasks and manages the performance and completion of tasks of the team.
  • Mentor and supervise case managers, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development
  • Conduct performance appraisals and contribute to staff development and evaluation processes

Job Description

The University Counselling Services (UCS) (Health and Wellbeing, Office of the President) is responsible for the innovation, implementation and evaluation of health & wellbeing programmes which support the general student population in NUS, as well as specific students who are exposed to acute mentally-stressful events.
As a Senior Case Manager, you will provide direct case management support to students while overseeing and supervising a team of case managers. You will work closely with the centre’s leaders and key stakeholders across the University to enhance student wellbeing. You will be part of a dynamic, collaborative, and passionate team dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our community.
Candidates should have a background in case management, counselling, nursing, psychology or social work (or relevant psychological professional training) and a hunger to explore new ways of enhancing the mental health of our people. Corporate consultative experience in programme management, as well as solid negotiation and communication skills are highly desirable.
As a Senior Case Manager, you will be expected to:

Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in social work, counselling, psychology or nursing or relevant, with additional post-graduate degree in relevant field an advantage
  • Proficient in conducting effective risk assessment and provide the necessary support and intervention
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including capacity to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Staff may be required to undertake after-hours work to support urgent client-related interventions.
  • At least 5 years experience working within a mental health, community, or youth related case management and social services setting
