Job summary

Argyll Scott in Singapore is partnering with a leading global insurer to hire an Underwriting Transformation Subject Matter Expert. This permanent, high-visibility role focuses on redesigning underwriting processes using AI to improve efficiency and decisioning.

You will act as SME on process redesign, embed AI-driven solutions, map gaps, run workshops, and support validation of new AI-enabled underwriting workflows, while coordinating with operations, technology, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of underwriting experience in insurance.
• Proven track record redesigning underwriting with AI.
• Strong stakeholder management across ops, tech, and transformation teams.
• PM/BA experience and UAT exposure a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME on underwriting process redesign with AI-enabled decisions.

We're partnering with a leading global insurer in Singapore to hire an Underwriting Transformation Subject Matter Expert. This is a permanent, high-visibility role supporting a major operations effectiveness programme, with a strong focus on redesigning underwriting processes using AI.

What you'll do

• Act as the SME on underwriting process redesign, embedding AI-driven solutions into underwriting decisioning
• Identify where AI can improve risk assessment, pricing decisions, and underwriting turnaround
• Lead or support process mapping, gap analysis, and redesign workshops
• Contribute to UAT and validation of new AI-enabled underwriting workflows
• Partner with PMs/BAs and technology teams on the broader transformation roadmap
• Support regulatory and fair dealing requirements as they relate to underwriting decisions

What we're looking for

• 5–10 years' experience in underwriting within insurance
• Demonstrated experience redesigning or transforming an underwriting process using AI — essential, not preferred
• Strong stakeholder management across ops, tech, and transformation teams
• PM/BA experience and UAT exposure an advantage but not required
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving transformation environment
