Financial Services | Consulting Background | Initial 3–6 Month Contract

CONTRACT & LOCATION

• Initial duration: Three to six months.
• Start date: To be agreed; please state your earliest availability or notice period.

We are recruiting an experienced AI transformation leader for a specific programme with a financial services organisation in Singapore.

This is a contract position for an initial three to six months, combining executive-level discovery and strategy with practical programme mobilisation and delivery.

The mandate is to help the organisation identify where AI can deliver meaningful commercial value, prioritise investment and translate those decisions into an executable programme. The client’s identity will be shared at an appropriate stage of the recruitment process.

THE ROLE

Working closely with senior business and technology stakeholders, you will:

• Lead discovery across business priorities, existing AI initiatives, data readiness, technology constraints and organisational capability.
• Evaluate and prioritise use cases against commercial impact, feasibility, investment requirements and speed to value.
• Develop compelling business cases and present clear recommendations to senior decision-makers.
• Define the programme roadmap, delivery milestones, resource requirements and measures of success.
• Shape the operating model and governance needed to implement AI effectively within a financial services environment.
• Mobilise multidisciplinary teams across business, technology, data, risk and operations.
• Lead agreed delivery activity, resolve dependencies and drive stakeholder alignment, adoption and measurable outcomes.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Director, Senior Director or equivalent experience leading transformation within financial services.
• Demonstrable experience taking AI or data-led initiatives from discovery and strategy into implementation.
• Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to connect AI investment to revenue, productivity, customer outcomes and cost.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills: you can lead executive workshops, build persuasive investment cases and explain complex decisions clearly.
• Solid technical understanding of AI/ML, generative AI, data foundations, architecture and integration, sufficient to assess feasibility and challenge technical assumptions.
• Practical programme leadership experience, including cross-functional delivery, stakeholder management, governance and organisational change.
• The confidence to challenge constructively and the judgement to work effectively within complex organisations.
• A combination of in-house financial services leadership and previous consulting experience would be particularly valuable. Candidates with equivalent relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

SUCCESS IN THIS ASSIGNMENT

You will bring clarity to the organisation’s AI priorities, secure alignment around a credible delivery plan and lead progress against agreed programme milestones. You should be equally comfortable presenting to senior executives and working through implementation decisions with technical teams.
