Job summary

Chubb is seeking a Senior UAT & Business Analyst for an 18-month contract in Singapore. The role requires 3–5 years of UAT/QA experience and leadership of end-to-end testing across Commercial and Consumer lines.

Job description

We’re looking for a capable Senior UAT & Business Analyst to join our team on an 18-month contract. This role is suited for someone with at least 3-5 years of UAT or software testing experience who is ready to lead end-to-end testing activities across our Commercial and Consumer business lines and provide guidance and continuity to the wider UAT team.

You’ll work closely with the UAT & Data Analytics Manager, stepping up to lead day-to-day testing operations and serve as the go-to contact for UAT matters when the Manager is away. If you’re technically strong, commercially minded, and ready to take ownership, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead UAT activities across our Commercial and Consumer business lines, including scoping testing requirements, aligning timelines with the UAT & Data Analytics Manager and project teams, and ensuring all testing activity is tied to release milestones and business readiness
• Plan, execute, and review test cases end-to-end — from test scenario design and test data setup through to execution, results documentation, and sign-off — ensuring adequate coverage and quality across all testing cycles
• Own and maintain all test documentation on Jira, including test cases, test suites, test plans, and traceability matrices; ensure documentation is kept current, accurate, and audit-ready throughout each project lifecycle
• Lead defect triage sessions — log, classify, and prioritise defects found during testing, and drive resolution by working directly with developers, business stakeholders, and project managers to track issues through to closure
• Produce and present regular testing status reports — including test execution progress, defect summaries, and risk flags — to the UAT & Data Analytics Manager, senior leadership, and project teams, keeping all stakeholders informed at every stage
• Lead Live (Production) verification during system go-lives and deployments, coordinating smoke tests and sanity checks with technical teams to confirm release readiness and sign off on production stability before handover to the business
• Step up to manage day-to-day UAT operations, workload allocation, and stakeholder communications in the absence of the UAT & Data Analytics Manager, ensuring continuity and no loss of momentum across active projects
• Provide guidance, quality review, and on-the-job coaching to junior UAT team members — reviewing test cases, scripts, and defect logs, offering constructive feedback, and supporting their growth into more independent contributors
• Uphold established UAT policies, standards, and SOPs, proactively identifying and proposing improvements to existing processes; contribute to APAC-wide testing initiatives and cross-functional projects as required

Desired Qualifications & Skillset

• At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in UAT, QA, or software testing, with a demonstrated track record of owning and leading testing workstreams independently from planning through to formal sign-off
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end software testing lifecycle, including requirements review, test strategy and planning, test case design, execution, defect management, and formal sign-off
• Proven ability to take full ownership of testing activities with minimal supervision — comfortable making decisions, escalating risks appropriately, and stepping up to coordinate the team and maintain delivery momentum during the manager’s absence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical testing findings into clear, concise updates for non-technical stakeholders including business users, project managers, and senior leadership
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or guiding junior testers — providing feedback on their work, setting quality standards, and helping them build capability and confidence over time
• Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence for test case management, defect tracking, and project documentation; familiarity with additional test management tools or automation frameworks is a plus
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in any field, or equivalent practical experience
• Interest in financial services or insurance is a plus, but not essential
• A collaborative approach, with the confidence and maturity to act as the primary point of contact for UAT matters — managing competing priorities, holding the line on quality standards, and building positive working relationships across technical and business teams
• Demonstrated leadership presence — able to direct testing activities across a project team, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and maintain team focus and morale during high-pressure delivery cycles
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent testing workstreams, balance competing deadlines, and keep delivery on track without losing sight of quality
• A proactive, risk-aware mindset — able to anticipate issues before they escalate, communicate risks clearly to management, and propose practical solutions with minimal prompting
