Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced on-site Project Manager in Singapore to lead payment transformation initiatives and coordinate with global development teams.

You will analyse client requirements, develop strategic project plans, manage delivery lifecycles, and ensure governance, risk, and quality standards while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement. The role requires PMP, 8+ years in PM, digital transformation and payment systems experience, plus excellent communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IT or related field.
• Valid PMP certification.
• 8+ years as a Project Manager, including 3+ years Digital Transformation.
• Experience managing Payment Solutions and payment platforms.
• Strong knowledge of payment lifecycle, integration, reconciliation and settlement.
• Experience with banks/fintechs is preferred.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP).
• Experience driving process change across technical delivery teams.
• Familiar with Enterprise Integration and design patterns.
• Skilled in project scheduling, tracking and documentation using JIRA/Confluence.
• Ability to work onsite and offshore delivery environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong customer-facing experience.
• Experience in AI/AR projects in Banking would be a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite Project Manager, working directly with customers primarily in Singapore and coordinating with remote and offshore development teams.
• Lead multiple teams to deliver payment solution projects on time, within budget and scope, while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Analyse client requirements and develop strategic project plans aligned with the customer's business objectives, product roadmap and payment transformation strategy.
• Manage the implementation and integration of payment solutions, including payment gateways, transaction processing systems, digital payment platforms and related enterprise applications.
• Coordinate and organise project activities to deliver working software into production in alignment with the agreed product roadmap.
• Act as the main coordination, communication and escalation point between customers, business stakeholders, technical teams and third-party vendors.
• Manage the full project development and implementation lifecycle, including project schedules, milestones, resources and delivery activities.
• Ensure that all project documentation, governance records and delivery artefacts are properly maintained and filed.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, recommending practical workaround solutions to meet delivery timelines.
• Coordinate system integration, testing, user acceptance testing, production deployment and post-implementation support.
• Ensure payment solutions comply with applicable security, regulatory and operational requirements.
• Drive process improvements, change management and solution adoption across customer and technical delivery teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Valid PMP certification.
• At least 8 years of experience in a Project Manager role, including a minimum of 3 years managing Digital Transformation projects or programmes.
• Proven experience managing Payment Solutions, digital payments, payment gateways, transaction processing platforms or other payment-related technology projects.
• Strong understanding of the payment lifecycle, system integration, transaction processing, reconciliation, settlement and payment operations.
• Experience working with banks, financial institutions, payment service providers, fintech companies or merchants is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Agile software development methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean and XP.
• Experienced in driving process change and adoption across technical delivery teams.
• Familiar with Enterprise Integration and Application Design patterns.
• Skilled in project scheduling, tracking and documentation using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Ability to work effectively in an onsite and offshore delivery environment.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer-facing experience is essential.
• Experience in AI/AR projects and programmes within the Banking sector, would be an added advantage.
