Job summary

OCBC Bank is seeking a Treasury Operations Intern to join a dynamic team driving process improvement, automation and operational excellence across Global Markets, Group Risk Management and Group Functions.

As a degree student in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, CS or Engineering, you will develop skills in data analysis, Excel macros and Python, while collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver value for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Open to learning and feedback.
• Strong sense of curiosity and passion for process improvement and automation.
• Proficient in Excel, including the use of macros, and Python programming.
• Knowledge of treasury products such as FX and Securities will be an advantage.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Process Improvement: support initiatives to streamline operational processes and enhance efficiency across treasury operations.
• Automation & Innovation: assist in developing and enhancing user-assisted tools, leveraging technology to automate manual processes and improve productivity.
• Data Analysis: analyse operational data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and areas for optimisation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: collaborate with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to understand challenges and support the implementation of solutions.
• Tool Enhancement: maintain and improve existing solutions, including Excel macro- and Python-based tools, to support business requirements.
• Change Enablement: support the adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working across the organisation.
• Ad-hoc Tasks: provide support on other operational excellence, automation, and transformation initiatives as assigned.
