OCBC Bank Singapore invites applications for a Treasury Operations Internship to drive process improvements, automation, and operational excellence across Global Markets, GRM and Group Functions. You will gain hands-on experience with data analysis, Excel macros, Python-based tools, and stakeholder engagement to enhance efficiency and value.

You will collaborate with a GO&T team, learn end-to-end treasury processes, and develop project management and problem-solving skills in a dynamic banking

Your ability to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels, think critically, and embrace new ways of working will be crucial in driving meaningful improvements and delivering value to internal and external customers.What You DoYour responsibilities will include:Process Improvement: support initiatives to streamline operational processes and enhance efficiency across treasury operations.Automation & Innovation: assist in developing and enhancing user-assisted tools, leveraging technology to automate manual processes and improve productivity.Data Analysis: analyse operational data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and areas for optimisation.Stakeholder Engagement: collaborate with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to understand challenges and support the implementation of solutions.Tool Enhancement: maintain and improve existing solutions, including Excel macro- and Python-based tools, to support business requirements.Change Enablement: support the adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working across the organisation.Ad-hoc Tasks: provide support on other operational excellence, automation, and transformation initiatives as assigned.Who You Work WithThe GO&T - GM, GRM & Group Functions team supports critical operations that enable the bank's treasury activities and business functions to operate efficiently and effectively. The team partners with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Global Markets, and Risk Management to drive process optimisation, enhance controls, and deliver innovative solutions that support the bank's business objectives.You'll be part of a collaborative team that embraces continuous improvement, innovation, and learning to create lasting impact across the organisation.Who You AreOpen to learning and feedback.Strong sense of curiosity and passion for process improvement and automation.Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels.Proficient in Excel, including the use of macros, and Python programming.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Adaptable, resourceful, and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.Knowledge of treasury products such as Foreign Exchange (FX) and Securities will be an advantage.Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.Learning ObjectivesThis internship will provide you with:Exposure to the end-to-end lifecycle of treasury transactions and banking operations.Understanding of the complexities, risks, and dynamics of the global financial markets environment.Hands-on experience in process improvement, operational excellence, and automation initiatives.Opportunities to develop technical skills through the use of Excel macros, Python, and other automation tools.Experience working with stakeholders across business, operations, risk, and technology functions.Development of project management, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.What we offer:Competitive base salary.
